The CNU International Graduate Student Admission Ambassador Program offers a unique opportunity for current students to actively promote Chonnam National University by sharing their authentic experiences with prospective students and the global community. Participants will serve as a bridge, passing on your invaluable knowledge, insights, and passion for graduate life at CNU.

1. Recruitment Details

A. Number of positions: 12 International graduate students

※ Diversity in nationality and academic discipline will be taken into consideration.

B. Application Period: September 4 (Fri) – September 14 (Mon), 2026

C. Application Method: Graduate School Website → 학생성장지원(Student Growth Support) → 비교과프로그램(Extracurricular Programs)

※ Applicants must complete and attach both the Application Form and the Consent Form for the Collection and Use of Personal Information.

D. Eligibility (Applicants must meet all four of the following requirements.)

1) International graduate students currently enrolled who have completed at least one semester, or enrolled students who have completed their coursework.

2) Students recommended by their academic advisor.

3) Students who are available for pariciapte in ambassador activities during the semester break as well.

4) Students who are able to attend all of the following schedules events:
Interview (Sep. 16), Orientation (Sep. 23), and Midterm Meeting (Oct 13).

E. Selection Criteria

1) Document Screening

- Fulfillment of eligibility requirements and overall suitability for the International Graduate Student Admissions Ambassador Program

- Quality and completeness of the application materials, including the applicant’s motivation, competence, and potential for further development.

- Preference given to applicants with strong social media and online promotional capabilities

2) Interview

- Qualifications and attitude as an International Graduate Student Admissions Ambassador (e.g., understanding of and enthusiasm for Chonnam National University and the Graduate School, sincerity, responsibility, and conduct)

- Understanding of the university and the applicant’s academic field, as well as expertise and ability to apply knowledge

- Communication skills and the validity and feasibility of the proposed activity plan

2. Program Operations

A. Activity Period: September 22 (Tue), 2026 – January 29 (Fri), 2027

1) Orientation: Scheduled for September 23 (Wed), 2026.

2) Midterm Check-in

- Midterm Meeting: Scheduled for October 13 (Tue), 2026

- Submission of Midterm Check-in Materials: A one-page summary of activity performance and an “A to Z Guide to the Admissions Application Process” video

※ The video should be produced in English and may later be translated and adapted for use in other languages.

3) Final Report Submission: February 2027

- Final activity report, including activity details and recruitment outcomes

- Extracurricular program participation review on the Graduate School website

B. Key Responsibilities:

1) Conduct country-specific and customized graduate admissions promotion and manage social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, WeChat)

2) Provide 1:1 counseling for applicants to the international graduate admissions track and support the admissions process (in cooperation with the Office of International Affairs)

3) Organize and host online admissions information sessions

4) Provide additional promotional support by creating and posting multilingual content on major university support policies and achievements

C. Benefits

1) Activity Support Fund: KRW 400,000 (Paid in 2 installments).

2) Outstanding Ambassador Award (3 students): KRW 200,000

- Selection criteria: excellence of activities and recruitment outcomes

3) Incentive for Outstanding Admissions Guide Video Production (5 students): KRW 100,000

- Selection criteria: Accuracy of admissions information, overall quality of video organization, effectiveness of delivery, and usability for promotional purposes
